Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a POS Field Service Technician to respond to service requests for customer sites in the assigned territory. You will troubleshoot, repair, and test POS hardware and related equipment, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and inventory management.

The role requires travel within a 150-mile radius with limited overnight stays, strong customer service, and familiarity with Windows and basic office software.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Information Technology or related Technology Field (Preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in technology service (Preferred)
• Prior retail experience (Preferred)
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Required)
• Practical experience with electronics/technology hardware (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests timely and document details and parts used
• Interact with store personnel and TRUNO team positively and clearly
• Maintain ability to work regular hours and after-hours when needed
• Willing to travel typically within a 150-mile radius with limited overnight travel
• Troubleshoot, fault isolate, repair, and test to verify functionality of in-store equipment
• Use tools including basic power tools in performing duties
• Provide preventative maintenance to in-store POS equipment and related hardware
• Perform basic configuration of software and hardware, installs and upgrades as needed
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct
• Adhere to company policies and deadlines
• Maintain company vehicle, credit card, fuel/fleet card, Netbook, tools and test equipment
• Maintain knowledge of equipment sold and supported in territory
• Handle additional duties as needed
