Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a POS Field Service Technician to provide on-site service for customer locations within the assigned territory. You will troubleshoot, repair, and test POS hardware and related equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and parts usage.

Travel within a 150-mile radius is typical, with occasional overnight trips. The role requires strong customer service, knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Information Technology or related Technology Field (Preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in technology service (Preferred).
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Required).
• Practical experience with electronics/technology hardware (Preferred).
• CompTIA A+ Certification (Preferred).
• CompTIA Network+ Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests timely and document details accurately.
• Interact professionally with store personnel and Truno team.
• Maintain regular hours and after-hours availability when needed.
• Travel typically within a 150-mile radius, limited overnight travel.
• Troubleshoot, fault isolate, repair, and test in-store equipment.
• Use basic power tools in performing duties.
• Provide preventative maintenance on POS equipment and related hardware.
• Configure software and hardware, and perform installs and upgrades as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies.
• Manage company vehicle, credit card, fuel, and test equipment responsibly.
• Stay updated on equipment knowledge for the territory.
