Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group seeks a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations in Virginia. You will ensure equipment uptime, support production needs, and deliver technical service in the field with hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.

This role requires the ability to work independently, communicate with customers effectively, and travel frequently—approximately 30% of the time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Experience with electrical/electromechanical systems at customer sites.
• Ability to read diagrams, wiring schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with packaging automation systems preferred.
• Proficient with PC applications for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at customer locations.
• Install, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG equipment; provide field training as needed.
• Upgrade software on WAT units and other equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Travel up to ~30% of weeks; flexible hours as needed.
