Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group in DuPont, WA is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, repairs, and customer training to ensure uninterrupted IPG equipment operations.

You will install, service, and optimize packaging equipment, implement preventive maintenance, and travel as needed, including weekends, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in technology field (mechanical, electrical, electronics) preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience
• Broad knowledge of electronics and electromechanical principles
• Proficient with PC applications including Microsoft Office
• Knowledgeable in the use of basic tools including multimeters
• Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical individuals
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the work week
• Valid state driver’s license with good driving record
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends/holidays as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and carry up to 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and perform maintenance on IPG equipment on-site
• Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance staff
• Establish a preventive maintenance program for existing end user accounts
• Assist in testing new products and custom packaging equipment; report faults
• Follow procedures; issue RMAs and submit work orders, expense and trip reports
• Software upgrades to WAT units when required
• Support Senior Technician on site with other service needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
