Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of packaging equipment at customer locations. You will ensure uptime, support production needs, and deliver high-level technical service in the field.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while representing IPG at customer sites. Travel and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical field degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electromechanical systems and diagnostics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals, and document work clearly.
• Willingness to travel and work independently in customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of IPG/Better Packages products; communicate value during site visits.
• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance; diagnose faults; provide on‑the‑job training.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
• Assist with field testing, evaluation, and feedback for product improvements.
• Follow field service procedures: RMA requests, work orders, documentation, and reports.
• Perform software upgrades on equipment and ensure proper configuration at customer sites.
• Support senior technicians on complex jobs and escalations; perform additional duties as assigned.
