Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime and support customer production needs with hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.

This role requires strong communication, independent field work, and the ability to travel frequently (about 80% of the work week).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Technical field degree or equivalent field service experience considered.
• Experience with electrical/electromechanical systems and diagnostics.
• Experience with packaging automation systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Install, diagnose, and perform preventive maintenance at customer sites.
• Develop PM programs and minimize downtime for accounts.
• Assist with field testing and product feedback.
• Document service actions, issues, and travel reports accurately.
• Upgrade software when required and configure at customer sites.
• Support senior technicians on complex field jobs and escalations.
• Handle emergency repairs and customer training as needed.
