Job summary

Fives Landis Corp. in Maryland is seeking a Field Service Technician to set up, test, and service equipment at client sites. This role supports hybrid work arrangements and travel up to 75% to engage with customers and ensure system reliability.

You will diagnose issues, perform emergency repairs, and provide clear service reports while collaborating with the Service & Installation Manager. A high school diploma and 2 years of field service experience are required, with grinding and CNC

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
2 years field service experience.
Knowledge of precision cylindrical grinding.
Understanding of CNC machines with servo drives & motors.
Experience with PLCs: Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens.

Responsibilities

Set up, integrate, and test equipment at client locations to ensure functionality.
Demonstrate equipment performance and confirm operation and satisfaction.
Provide rapid support for critical equipment failures to minimize downtime.
Perform emergency repairs and diagnose issues with timely solutions.
Educate clients on operation and maximize efficiency.
Communicate with customers and internal teams for timely updates.
Serve as primary technical liaison and manage customer interactions.
Submit detailed service reports with parts, time, and actions.
