Job summary

Fives Landis Corp is seeking Field Service Technicians to support equipment installations and service at client sites across the region. The role requires traveling up to 75% and driving rapid, reliable solutions for precision grinding systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of field service experience, plus knowledge of CNC machines and PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, and Siemens. Relocation to Hagerstown, MD is not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years of field service experience.
• Knowledge of precision cylindrical grinding.
• Centerless and double disc grinding knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of CNC machines with servo drives & motors.
• Programmable Logic Controllers such as Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens.

Responsibilities

• Set up, integrate, and test equipment at client locations to ensure function and reliability.
• Demonstrate equipment performance and confirm operation and satisfaction with standards.
• Provide rapid support for critical equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform emergency repairs and diagnose issues with timely solutions.
• Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation and usage.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams; provide updates.
• Serve as primary technical liaison, managing customer interactions and resolutions.
• Submit detailed service reports with parts used and actions taken.
