Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring installations meet plans and specifications. The role includes reviewing shop drawings, coordinating meetings, and updating schedules to keep projects on track.

You will contribute to cost-saving methods, participate in bidding, and help prepare scopes of work for trade contractors while emphasizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to read plans and understand specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and shop drawings for compliance with specs.
• Coordinate with project team meetings and distribute minutes.
• Publish weekly progress reports and maintain logs.
• Update project schedules and assist in bidding/scope development.
• Support concrete pour procedures and inspecting reinforcing.
• Ensure OSHA safety requirements are followed.
