Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring that work installed on the Tulsa project meets plan and specifications. You will review plans, shop drawings, and submittals, coordinate meetings, and help update schedules to keep milestones on track.

The role emphasizes cost-conscious planning, safety, and collaboration with superintendents, architects, and subcontractors to optimize production and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or the equivalent education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• The ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Learning Ability: has the ability and desire to quickly learn new job-related information.
• The ability to understand and apply OSHA and company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate meetings and distribute minutes.
• Update project schedules and assist in bidding and scope development for trade contractors.
• Maintain logs of shop drawings and change requests.
• Ensure safety policies are followed on site.
