Job summary

Applegreen is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our U.S. Developments Team and drive delivery on one of America’s largest Travel Plaza Redevelopment programs.

This is not a single-site role and involves ownership of multiple projects across several states, transforming travel plazas, fuel facilities, and national QSR brands. Over the past decade, Applegreen has become a major operator of travel plazas and roadside retail in the U.S., with a multi-year development plan

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction, permitting, procurement and project delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent construction and development projects, often across several states.
• Lead projects from concept through turnover and operational opening.
• Develop, maintain and actively manage project schedules and milestone plans.
• Coordinate consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, utility providers, permitting authorities and any and all other stakeholders, to complete the project.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and expenditures; review contractor pricing, change orders and cost proposals.
• Assist with procurement and subcontractor selection activities.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, cost and delivery risks.
• Conduct regular site visits and project inspections.
• Monitor contractor performance and construction progress.
• Resolve project challenges and facilitate decision-making to maintain momentum.
• Thoroughly review construction documents for completeness, constructability and coordination.
• Support project commissioning, closeout, punchlist and turnover activities.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between Development, Operations, Design and Construction Teams.
• Prepare project reports, status updates, risk registers and executive summaries.
• Present project progress and recommendations to senior leadership.
