Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is a family-owned contractor delivering infrastructure/maintenance services across the United States. We are seeking highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians to spray right of way, roadsides, and manage weed control using a spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hoses.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 21+ years of age, a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR, and the ability to travel 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• A valid driver's license required (5 years clean (MVR) motor vehicle record).
• Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4-6 weeks at a time (Hotel paid for by DCS and per-diem).
• Herbicide application experience is preferred but not required
• Commercial Pesticide Applicators preferred: Category C6, but not required for hire. This license will need to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
• Agricultural, landscaping, or related industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all DOT required truck inspections completely (responsible to identify and trouble shoot truck/spray system issues or needed repairs).
• Keep truck and equipment clean and always organized.
• Individuals will be trained to be capable of calibrating all spray equipment.
• Individuals will be trained in the basic understanding of weed, grass, and brush types.
• Individuals will be trained to have a general knowledge of methods and chemicals used, what they control, and all safety requirements to meet the customers' expectations.
