Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC (DCS) is seeking motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right of ways, roadsides, and vegetation management using spray trucks, ATVs, backpack sprayers, or hoses.

The role requires travel up to 4–6 weeks at a time, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to undergo DOT screening, with on-the-job training for equipment calibration and chemical safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• A valid driver’s license required (5 years clean MVR).
• Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4-6 weeks at a time (Hotel paid for by DCS and per-diem).
• Herbicide application experience is preferred but not required.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicators preferred: Category C6, but not required for hire. License must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete all DOT required truck inspections.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Calibrate spray equipment once trained.
• Gain basic understanding of weed, grass, and brush types.
• Learn methods and chemicals used, safety requirements to meet customer expectations.
