Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) seeks highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right of ways, roadsides, weeds and brush. This role can involve spraying with a truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hose.

Travel up to 4–6 weeks at a time is required; hotel accommodations are provided and per-diem applies. Compensation ranges from $21–$25 per hour, based on licensing and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with 5 years clean MVR.
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel 4–6 weeks at a time (hotel paid by DCS and per-diem).
• Herbicide application experience preferred but not required.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator License Category C6 preferred: must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete all DOT required truck inspections.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Calibrate spray equipment as trained.
• Learn weed, grass and brush types; understand methods and chemicals used and safety requirements.
