KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, invites a licensed Special Education teacher to lead trauma-informed, SOL-aligned instruction in a small classroom setting. You will develop individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals and collaborate with staff to support emotional regulation and academic progress.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, family engagement, and adherence to federal/state guidelines. Full-time position in Virginia with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and active Virginia SPED license.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities or SPED required; willing to obtain endorsement.
• Must maintain licensure and required certifications throughout employment.
• Experience with trauma-informed, data-driven instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned to SOLs, school curriculum, and IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied academic, behavioral, communication, and sensory needs.
• Embed social-emotional learning and communication development into daily lessons.
• Collaborate with families, LEA representatives, and related service providers.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and progress documentation.
• Attend IEP meetings and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
