Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher in Virginia. You will lead a trauma-informed, structured classroom focused on SOL-aligned instruction and individualized IEP-driven goals.

Collaboration with families, staff, and service providers is essential to promote academic and social-emotional growth. You will design engaging, differentiated lessons using Courseware, LEXIA and Wilson Reading resources, while tracking progress and ensuring

Qualifications

• BA in education and active Virginia SPED license required.
• Endorsements in Emotional Disabilities or SPED endorsed; SPED license eligible candidates accepted.
• Ability to meet licensure and certification requirements ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a trauma-informed classroom aligned to SOLs and IEP goals.
• Deliver individualized instruction per student IEPs and KEYS curriculum.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers.
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and attend IEP meetings.
• Utilize data to adjust instruction and support student success.
