Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher in Virginia. You will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals within a structured, trauma-informed classroom.

You will collaborate with families and staff to monitor progress, maintain data, and ensure compliance with state standards and regulatory requirements while upholding Safety, Dignity, and Opportunity principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education or related field.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education.
• Endorsement in ED or related SPED field, licensure maintained.

Responsibilities

• Lead a trauma-informed, structured classroom for students with diverse needs.
• Plan instruction aligned to SOLs and individual IEP goals.
• Maintain Present Levels of Performance and baseline data.
• Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with families.
• Collaborate with School Director, paraprofessionals, and related services staff.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with policies and law.
