Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, Inc., seeks a licensed Special Education teacher in Virginia to deliver SOL-aligned instruction within a structured, trauma-informed classroom. You will design and implement individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals, integrating the KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum and Social Thinking framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and valid Virginia SPED license.
• Endorsements in ED or SPED encouraged; licensure must be maintained.
• Experience with IEP goals and SOL-aligned instruction recommended.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SOL-aligned instruction and individualized IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction for varied needs and modalities.
• Embed social-emotional learning and communication development into lessons.
• Utilize KEYS curriculum and Social Thinking framework daily.
• Maintain structured schedule and collaboration with staff.
• Collect and analyze progress data to inform instruction.
• Manage classroom environment to promote safety and dignity.
