You will design individualized instruction, monitor progress, collaborate with families and staff, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies and timelines.

Qualifikationen

• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education is required.
• 1-2 years of experience with IEP development and case management is preferred.
• Experience implementing SOL-aligned instruction and trauma-informed practices is desirable.
• Known ability to collect and analyze data to drive instruction and progress.
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms and online learning tools.
• Commitment to safety, dignity, and opportunity for students in a small classroom setting.

Aufgaben

• Lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom designed for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
• Deliver instruction aligned to Virginia SOLs and each student’s IEP goals.
• Differentiate teaching to meet varied needs and support social-emotional learning.
• Develop and manage Present Levels of Performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and attend IEP meetings and conferences.
