Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to deliver individualized instruction aligned with Virginia SOLs and students’ IEP goals. You will use trauma‑informed practices, support communication and social‑emotional development, and collaborate with staff and families in a small, structured setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education required (license eligible candidates accepted).
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities (ED), Special Education General Curriculum K–12, or related SPED endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a structured, trauma‑informed classroom aligned to SOLs and individual IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied needs and support communication, social development, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with families, LEA representatives, and related service providers to support student success and complete required documentation.
