Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to join a trauma-informed, small-classroom team in Virginia.

You will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals, support social-emotional development, and monitor progress using data-driven practices to advance academic growth for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and valid Virginia Special Education license.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities or SPED required; license maintained.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IEP processes and SOL alignment.
• Experience using structured, trauma-informed instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SOL-aligned instruction and implement IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction for varied needs and sensory considerations.
• Use data to guide instruction and provide progress feedback.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support student success.
• Maintain organized attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Provide supervision during transitions and daily routines.
