Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to lead a trauma-informed classroom in Virginia. You will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals, integrating KEYS for a Big Life curriculum and Social Thinking concepts.

You will work under the School Director to foster Safety, Dignity, and Opportunity, collaborating with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers while using data-driven

Qualifications

• Must hold a Virginia Special Education teaching license.
• Demonstrated ability to implement IEP goals with fidelity.
• Experience delivering SOL-aligned instruction in trauma-informed settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom designed for safety and dignity.
• Deliver instruction aligned to SOLs and individual IEP goals.
• Use evidence-based strategies for varied needs and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and service providers to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and reports.
