Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to lead a trauma-informed, structured classroom for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs across K–12 in Virginia.

You will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP, integrate KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum and Social Thinking, and collaborate closely with the School Director and support staff to promote Safety, Dignity, and Opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities (ED) or SPED, or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SOL-aligned instruction for all students.
• Differentiate lessons to meet varied needs.
• Use data to guide instructional decisions and progress.
• Maintain accurate IEP goals and progress documentation.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.
• Adhere to laws, policies, and professional standards.
