KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to lead a trauma-informed classroom for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in Virginia. You will design and deliver individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals while integrating KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum and Social Thinking.

Under the School Director, you will foster safety, dignity, and opportunity, differentiate instruction, collaborate with staff, and monitor

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education required (license eligible candidates accepted).
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities (ED) or related SPED endorsement required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom focused on safety, dignity, and learning.
• Provide instruction aligned to Virginia SOLs and individual IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction for varied academic, behavioral, and sensory needs.
• Embed social-emotional learning into daily lessons and use evidence-based strategies.
• Act as case manager for assigned students and participate in IEP meetings.
• Design instruction using KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum and Social Thinking framework.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with families and service providers.
