Job summary

brc is seeking a Community Technician to provide frontline support for individuals experiencing homelessness. This full-time role involves maintaining a safe residential environment, de-escalation, and crisis response across shifts, with mandatory overtime.

You will gain trauma-informed care experience, access to sponsored certifications, and clear pathways to leadership, with comprehensive onboarding and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and basic computer proficiency are expected.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention is a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through rounds.
• Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.
• Respond to conflicts, safety concerns, and crises professionally.
• Screen residents and visitors while upholding dignity and security.
• Provide emergency support (First Aid/CPR, Narcan training provided).
• Complete documentation (logbooks, incident reports, progress notes).
• Support fire safety procedures, inspections, and compliance.
• Assist with meals, escorts, inventory, and facility upkeep.
