Job summary

brc is seeking a Community Technician to provide frontline support for individuals experiencing homelessness, including crisis intervention and trauma-informed care on every shift. The role emphasizes calm, compassionate judgment and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, basic computer skills, and a willingness to obtain required certifications as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through active monitoring and rounds.
• Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.
• Respond to conflicts, safety concerns, and crises professionally.
• Screen residents and visitors while maintaining dignity and security.
• Provide emergency support (First Aid/CPR, Narcan – training provided).
• Complete documentation (logbooks, incident reports, progress notes).
• Support fire safety procedures, inspections, and compliance.
• Assist with meals, escorts, inventory, and facility upkeep.
