Job summary

BRC is seeking a Community Technician to provide frontline support for individuals experiencing homelessness. The role focuses on maintaining a safe residential environment, crisis response, trauma-informed engagement, and professional boundaries across shifts.

This full-time position offers training, certifications (CPR/First Aid, Narcan, Fire Safety), tuition assistance, and a clear path to case management and leadership, with mandatory overtime and varied shifts to cover a 24/7 program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, orderly residential environment through active monitoring and rounds.
• Engage residents using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.
• Respond to conflicts, safety concerns, and crises professionally.
• Screen residents and visitors while maintaining dignity and security.
• Provide emergency support (First Aid/CPR, Narcan – training provided).
• Complete documentation (logbooks, incident reports, progress notes).
• Support fire safety procedures, inspections, and compliance.
• Assist with meals, escorts, inventory, and facility upkeep.
