Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary transportation programs, delivering large, complex projects across the United States. You will partner with clients, manage schedule, cost, risk, and scope, and guide teams across engineering, planning, construction, and environmental disciplines.

You will mentor staff, foster collaboration, uphold HDR's values, and drive program governance, quality, and successful outcomes on landmark mobility initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field.
• Professional licenses: PE/PMP/PgMP/AICP/CCM.
• 10+ years program management, four+ years as Senior PM, three+ programs $500M+.
• Experience with PMO, alternative delivery methods, and complex infrastructure programs.
• Strong leadership and communication; able to present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects.
• Plan, direct, and monitor program execution across disciplines.
• Identify risks and issues, provide strategic guidance and solutions.
• Develop and implement program management plans and governance approaches.
• Direct multiple large program teams or a mega-project.
