Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead large, complex transportation infrastructure programs. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, environmental planning, and construction management to deliver high-value projects for diverse clients.

You will advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects while driving program governance, risk management, and performance. HDR values employee ownership and inclusive collaboration across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, construction management, sciences, planning, business administration or closely related field.
• Professional certifications/licenses (PE, PMP, PgMP, AICP, CCM) or equivalent required.
• At least ten years of program management experience, including four years as a Senior Program Manager, with three programs each valued at $500M+.
• Experience leading teams across multiple locations; strong leadership.
• Familiarity with PMIS/CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity and non-technical intricacies.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects to ensure program success.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Identify risks and provide strategic solutions to keep programs on track.
• Develop and implement program management plans, startup plans and work plans; drive efficiencies.
