Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations. You will interface with all levels and functions and report to the Lead Engineer or CI Manager.

Key requirements include transportation experience, proficiency in Excel and Power BI, and experience with Power BI dashboards; Appian Direct Route is a plus. Travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
• Transportation experience required (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL/DAX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs analysis, maps processes, and drives CI improvement.
• Lead CI projects and support go-live and certifications; identify automation opportunities.
• Develop engineering methods, Lean tools, and coach teams in CI and Lean principles.
• Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against site objectives.
