Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations. The role interfaces with all levels and functions and reports to CI leadership.

You will develop and manage comprehensive CI plans, drive value for customers, and collaborate with operations and management to sustain improvements through Kaizen and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5+ years in transportation or supply chain industry.
• Transportation experience (Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization and database programming (SQL, DAX) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Leads CI and engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develops and demonstrates competency in Lean tools and engineering methods.
• Coaches teams in CI, Lean principles, and value stream mapping.
• Delivers regular reports and supports Supply Chain strategy.
