Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply CI methods across operations, driving data-driven transformations for safety, quality, delivery and cost. The role interfaces with a broad set of stakeholders and reports to the CI leadership team.

The candidate will leverage Power BI, Excel, and other lean tools to identify root causes, lead improvement initiatives, and support automation projects. Travel is occasional and collaboration with operations is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Transportation or Supply Chain industry.
Transportation experience including Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Data visualization with Power BI/Tableau; SQL/DAX familiarity (intermediate)

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee development.
Develop and manage CI plans; support go-live and steady state certifications.
Lead Kaizen events and value stream mapping to achieve measurable results.
Coach teams on lean methods and standard work; facilitate data-driven decision making.
