Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to raise safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations.

The role emphasizes transportation knowledge, Power BI dashboard maintenance, and Excel proficiency, with collaboration across management levels and potential Appian routing tools. Occasional travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry.
• Transportation Experience Necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio. Expert
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Lean Methodology and CI knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes to drive CI initiatives.
• Manages CI/project initiatives and supports go-live and certifications; identify automation opportunities.
• Develops competency in lean methods; coaches others in CI and Lean principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events across sites.
• Provides regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against objectives.
