Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking an Engineering Technician in the Transportation Group. The role offers flexible work location across Apex offices or hybrid work. Primary duties include CADD drafting and field support for highway, urban roadway, and municipal projects.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2–5 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil-3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and MicroStation Connect. Travel and RPR duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Drafting desirable (applicable experience may be accepted).
• 2–5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts from rough sketches using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support project teams under Project Managers and Senior Engineers.
• Compute dimensions, square footage, profiles, and material quantities.
• Assist with construction observation/inspection, surveying and materials testing.
