Apex Engineering Group is hiring an Engineering Technician to support the Transportation Group. This hybrid role is office- and field-based, focusing on CADD drafting and field support for highway and municipal projects.

You will work with AutoCAD, Civil-3D, and MicroStation, collaborating with Project Managers and Lead Technicians. The position offers flexible office locations, travel during construction seasons, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience preferred.
• 2-year Associate degree in Engineering Tech or Drafting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil-3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation Connect required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and layouts from sketches, surveys, or redlines using CADD software.
• Support design and construction of highway, urban roadway, or municipal projects.
• Assist with construction observation, surveying and materials testing.
• Communicate progress and issues with project managers and supervisors.
• Travel and out-of-town stays may be required during construction season.
