Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Transportation Group from any Apex office or via hybrid arrangements across North Dakota and Minnesota. The role combines in-office CADD work with field observations on highway and municipal projects.

Responsibilities include producing detailed drawings with AutoCAD, Civil-3D, and MicroStation, assisting project teams, and performing site visits as needed. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support project managers and engineers in developing plan documents.
• Assist with field observations, surveys, and materials testing.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and project managers.
