Job summary

Apex Engineering Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Transportation Group. The role offers flexible work locations across multiple Apex offices and hybrid options in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Primary duties include providing CADD and field support for highway and municipal projects, applying basic civil engineering principles, and collaborating with project teams to develop plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or drafting preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil-3D and Bentley OpenRoads required.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and GIS tools a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and design layouts using CADD software.
• Support design and construction of highway, roadway, or municipal projects.
• Work in team environment with Project Managers and Senior Engineers.
• Travel and stay out of town may be required during the construction season.
