Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced leader in Transportation Alternative Delivery to drive pursuit and execution of major civil infrastructure programs.

You will coordinate across HDR’s Policy, Risk, and Legal teams and lead regional and market-area collaboration to advance complex delivery methods. The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and 15+ years of experience with large transportation projects and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience with traditional and Alternative Delivery methods.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Strong leadership and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and manage pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and procedure and risk committee approvals.
• Facilitate collaboration with HDR Business Group Directors regarding policy, staff resources, and contract terms.
• Negotiate terms with HDR Legal for AD projects in coordination with Risk Committee input.
• Coordinate with Transportation Business Group leadership and Regional Leads on client discussions and contractor relationships.
• Lead HDR leadership discussions on contractor relationships to ensure matrix collaboration across Areas and Regions.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in Alternative Delivery.
• Support area teams to maximize HDR strengths in the matrix and provide service to AD projects.
• Possibly serve as Principal-in-Charge for selected projects or contracts.
