Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group. You will lead pursuit and delivery of major transportation projects, coordinating with policy, risk, and legal teams while guiding regional leads and partners to successful outcomes.

You will manage complex client relationships, expand HDR’s presence in AD markets, and may serve as Principal-in-Charge on select contracts. A PE license and 15+ years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation projects.
• PE license required.
• Experience leading diverse teams and complex programs.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Collaborate with HDR policy, Risk Committee, and legal on terms and approvals.
• Coordinate with Transportation Business Group leadership and regional leads.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and design/subcontract terms.
• Engage with industry groups to elevate HDR visibility in AD markets.
• Provide status updates on AD projects to HDR leadership.
• Serve as Principal-in-Charge for selected projects or contracts.
