Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation to lead the pursuit and delivery of large civil infrastructure projects.

You will drive policy-compliant approvals, negotiate contract terms with legal and risk teams, and collaborate with HDR leadership across Regions and Market Sectors to ensure successful delivery. The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 15+ years of project delivery experience, and readiness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional engineering registration (PE) or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk management processes.
• Coordinate with HDR policy staff, Risk Committee, and legal to establish contract terms.
• Lead collaboration across Transportation Business Group leadership and regions.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and design service contracts with external entities.
• Represent HDR in industry groups and drive continuous improvement of processes.
