Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in Fairfax, IA to manage accounts payable functions including carrier and vendor payments, auditing paperwork, and ensuring accuracy of payables.

You will process invoices, collaborate across departments, maintain documents on SharePoint, and generate reports. Strong Excel/data-entry skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in invoice processing, invoicing, and accounts payable.
• Strong Excel skills and data entry accuracy.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.
• Ability to develop spreadsheets with formulas and graphs.

Responsibilities

• Audit carrier paperwork to ensure required documents are present and reconciled with payables.
• Process and pay carrier and vendor invoices using appropriate systems.
• Audit vendor statements, obtain payment approvals, and mail checks.
• Research and resolve discrepancies on accounts, including factoring letters.
• Generate reports to confirm paperwork for all loads has been received.
• Communicate payment status with vendors.
