Aston Carter is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and process invoices, perform payments, and coordinate with vendors from our Chesterfield, MO location. The role supports month-end close and requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with internal teams.

The position is contract to hire with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and potential work-from-home flexibility on Fridays after training. Pay ranges $24.00–$26.00 per hour, with standard benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of full cycle AP experience.
• Experience in JDE.

Responsibilities

• Process 60-100 invoices per day.
• Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests.
• Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, as well as check payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Generate and analyze accounts payable reports and assist with month-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and assist with audits as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
