Aston Carter is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a fully on-site role in Eldridge, IA. You will process vendor invoices, perform three-way matches, and ensure compliance with internal controls while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

The position handles payments (ACH, wires, checks) and supports month-end close, with a focus on accuracy and process improvements. 20.00–21.00/hr, contract to hire.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) or more years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
• Meticulous and dedicated with accuracy in processing invoices.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and Excel required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Aufgaben

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely using the company’s accounting/ERP system.
• Perform three-way match verification (PO, receiving docs, invoice).
• Review, validate, and process high-volume invoices per policy and controls.
• Monitor and capture early payment discounts when applicable.
• Facilitate vendor payments including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
• Verify vendor banking and payment information to prevent fraud.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals.
