Planet Group in Fairfax, IA is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to support the AP disbursement process and carrier paperwork auditing. This 12-month onsite position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Responsibilities include auditing carrier paperwork for completeness, processing and paying carrier and vendor invoices, researching discrepancies, forwarding factoring letters,

Competenze

• 1 year of accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data entry is expected.
• Knowledge of AP procedures and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Mansioni

• Audit carrier paperwork to ensure all documents are present, legible, and reconciled with payables.
• Process and pay carrier invoices using appropriate software systems.
• Process and pay vendor invoices, audit statements, obtain approvals, and mail checks.
• Research and resolve discrepancies on vendor and carrier invoices.
• Forward factoring letters and releases to payment processing company.
• Generate reports to verify paperwork for all loads has been received.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status requests.
• Create, modify, and maintain documents and SOPs on SharePoint.
• Exercise independent judgment against fraudulent activity.
• Identify and resolve gaps in payables documentation.
• Develop guidance for technology policies to improve workflows.
