Aston Carter is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the accounting team in Terre Haute, IN. This temporary role is ideal for candidates with accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will process invoices, reconcile statements, and maintain documentation while communicating with vendors and internal teams. Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with invoice management systems or ERP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and route high-volume vendor invoices through the company's invoice management system.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely processing and payment.
• Retrieve invoices from vendor portals and maintain accurate documentation.
• Review invoices for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
• Assist with accounts payable recordkeeping and reporting.
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice and payment inquiries.
• Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed.
