Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal to join its Power Delivery Practice. You will lead pursuit and design efforts for EPC projects, coordinate with partners, and guide teams through FEED and execution phases.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in transmission design, PMP, and strong leadership of remote teams, with proficiency in PLS tools and risk management. HDR values employee ownership and diverse perspectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering required.
10+ years of experience in transmission design and EPC.
Proven leadership of engineering teams on EPC projects.
Experience with risk analysis, estimating and FEED development.

Responsibilities

Serve as Pursuit Champion on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
Lead technical risk analysis, routing design and BOM support.
Develop scope, schedule and budgets for AD projects with cross-functional teams.
Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuit and project delivery.
Assist in Go/No-Go discussions, risk assessments and proposals.
Build FEED teams and templates for transmission line EPC pursuits.
Provide engineering leadership and hands-on risk management.
