Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to join our national Power Delivery Practice and lead EPC pursuit and project execution efforts. You will coordinate with HDR staff and partners to manage scope, schedule, and budget, and deliver risk-informed design and construction solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in transmission design, strong leadership, and proficiency with PLS tools and MS Office. Travel up to 20% and collaboration across multiple locations are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design of EPC projects is required.
• Strong leadership of engineering teams across multiple remote sites is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development with procurement and construction interfaces.
• Perform risk analysis and mitigation discussions with HDR leads and partners.
• Develop front-end engineering and design (FEED) templates and standards.
• Mentor and lead Project Managers and discipline leads across teams.
