Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit and FEED activities within HDR's Power Delivery Practice. You will collaborate with HDR’s global power delivery staff and partners to transition pursuits to execution, ensuring technical risk analysis and robust bid development.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, PE license, PMP certification, and 10+ years of transmission design experience, plus 5 years leading EPC teams; travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams on EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects; transition to Project Manager after award.
• Facilitate risk analysis, preliminary routing, design and bill-of-material takeoff support with partners.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects, coordinating with land, environmental and GIS teams as needed.
• Estimate technical investments prior to Go/No-Go discussions and share risk analysis with leadership.
