Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to drive pursuit and execution of EPC transmission projects. This role collaborates with HDR’s global staff and partners to manage risk, scope, schedule and budgets across AD delivery models.

The position requires a strong leadership background, engineering expertise in high-voltage transmission, and the ability to oversee front-end engineering and design (FEED) activities while coordinating multiple remote

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering License.
Project Management Professional (PMP).
10+ years of experience in transmission design.
5+ years leading engineering teams on EPC projects.
Experience developing EPC design and construction packages.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects.
Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects.
Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, GIS, environmental, real estate teams.
Estimate technical investments prior to Go/No-Go discussions.
Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuit and project phases.
Develop FEED templates, standards, drawings and processes.
