Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is hiring a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility projects from pursuit through closeout in a field-based environment.

You will manage major transmission segments or multiple distribution/substation projects, with accountability for scope, cost, schedule, safety, quality, and client satisfaction. The role requires 2–7+ years in construction PM within power delivery, strong leadership, and proficiency in project management software.

Qualifications

• 2–7+ years of experience in construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with project management/scheduling software (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
• Support project planning for transmission line construction, distribution upgrades, and substation scopes
